HURIDOCS is deeply rooted in the human rights movement, with decades of field experience and a high level of expertise in using information and technology. We are a global group of human rights researchers, documentation experts, information security specialists and software developers out to empower defenders to act strategically on human rights information.

Software Developers

HURIDOCS accepts applications on a rolling basis for experienced software developers to join our diverse global team and contribute to our open-source flagship product Uwazi. Our stack: Node.js, Express, MongoDB, React, ElasticSearch, Nginx. These positions are remote and usually full-time, with salary based on experience and location. Software Development Internships

HURIDOCS regularly offers internships to aspiring software developers. Interns will get the chance to:

  • learn from a highly skilled and multicultural team of systems administrators, UX designers, machine learning practitioners and software developers
  • gain experience with our current stack: React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Python, Tensorflow, PyTorch
  • be exposed to relevant industry methodologies such as TDD, e2e testing, agile project management, clean code, design patterns or scalable architectures
  • contribute to our open-source projects that benefit human rights defenders
