New website of SADC Tribunal launched

SADC TribunalA new website for the the South African Development Community Tribunal (SADC Tribunal) has been launched, making available all of its legal documents and jurisprudence in a well-accessible manner.

The Tribunal, seated in Windhoek, Namibia, is the Court of Justice of the South African Development Community, and by this mandate has formulated jurisprudence touching upon human rights, democracy and the rule of law in the Southern African region.

The new website offers comprehensive access to all legal instruments, case law and the history of the Tribunal. For potential complainants, the Tribunal has prepared answers to most frequently asked questions. Those more interested in the history of the seat of the Tribunal, can also learn more about the Turnhalle building in a separate section.

HURIDOCS is delighted to have worked fruitfully with the Tribunal as part of its Africa programme. We are also grateful for the support of the MacArthur Foundation, which is funding our work with regional human rights institutions in Africa.
