Adilur Rahman Khan detained – HURIDOCS urges immediate release

On August 10 the renowned human rights defender Adilur Rahman Khan was arrested by plain clothes police officers. His arrest – for which there was no warrant – is reported to be related to a fact-finding report published by Odhikar, the human rights organisation of which Adilur Rahman Khan is Secretary.

HURIDOCS demands the immediate release of Adilur Rahman Khan, echoing other leading human rights organisations as well as the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and several governments.
