Using Mobile Phones for Action will take place November 28 to December 4,
2007. Join this great discussion and tell us how you are using mobile phones
to create change in your work!

We are really pleased with the wonderful diversity of the creative uses of
mobile phones represented by our confirmed featured practitioners: 

*	Evans Wafula, Africa Interactive 
(East Africa) and the Voices of 
Africa project which encourages African journalists to use mobile phones to
promote human rights and democracy;
*	Ken Banks, founder of kiwanja.net   and
FrontlineSMS   which is a free text
messaging application for NGOs; 
*	Ellene Sana, Center 
for Migrant Advocacy Philippines using an SOS SMS Helpline for overseas
migrant workers;
*	Natasha Dokovska, Journalists for Children and Women Rights and
Protection   of Environment (JCWE) Macedonia
using mobile phones to support civic engagement in parliamentary elections;
and 
*	Noel Large, Interaction Belfast
 , Northern Ireland, expanding a mobile
phone network that has support from the local communities for violence
prevention.
