The Pandia newsletter contains a great review of LibraryThing at:
http://www.pandia.com/sew/535-librarything.html

However, the review neglects to mention that LibraryThing isn't just a social
networking site or for cataloging and organizing personal libraries; library
staff are using LibraryThing to catalog (and "tag") their small, specialized
collections using data from from amazon.com, Library of Congress, and many
other libraries. LibraryThing not only offers open cataloging tools but
accessibility to library users.

For example,

- LibraryThing | Information Resource Center - American Embassy, Buenos Aires

- LibraryThing | Campus Center for Appropriate Technology (CCAT) of Humboldt
State University, Arcata, California.
