Purposes

cicgThe purposes of this Conference are to reflect upon how information about human rights can be communicated more effectively by NGOs to institutions such as the Human Rights Council (HRC) and its Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The conference the participants the opportunity to examine the latest standards, tools and techniques for managing and communicating human rights information, to express their needs, and exchange experiences and lessons learned in this area.

Dates and venue

The dates will coincide with the first week of the March session of the Universal Periodic Review (exact date of latter to be set). This will allow participants to attend both events on the same ticket.


Participation

genevaThe Conference will bring together representatives of human rights organisations that are concerned with the collection, management and communication of information on human rights and human rights violations, as well as human rights advocates.

Participation is open to all human rights organisations: international organisations, non-governmental organisations, national human rights institutions, and academic institutions.

roomThe conference is not yet open for registration. However you can already pre-register by sending an email today to conference@huridocs.org, and we will contact you as soon as registration opens.
