Every 5-10 years HURIDOCS organises a thematic conference, bringing together its network members. These conferences are also the opportunity to hold the HURIDOCS General Assemblies, where members renew the network’s governance bodies and provide fresh guidance as to its strategic priorities for the period to come.
Latest Conference: Geneva 25-28 February 2009
The purpose of this Conference was to reflect upon how information about human rights can be communicated more effectively by NGOs to institutions such as the Human Rights Council (HRC) and its Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The conference gave the participants the opportunity to examine the latest standards, tools and techniques for managing and communicating human rights information, to express their needs, and exchange experiences and lessons learned in this area.
