The Essex Human Rights Alumni Association is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with an interest in working to help a small non-profit organisation to develop its website.
Work needed
1. Advice on the technical difficulties and possibilities regarding the amendments to make to the website, based on the document available from admin@ehraa.org
2. Revision of the website www.ehraa.org, as amended after the discussion in point (1))
3. General technical support and when necessary, training, to use the website
4. Minor general technical support to fix issues that may arise until December 2011
The work will be done in close collaboration with the EHRAA executive committee, and the designer of the website who will provide the necessary technical information.
Skills required
- Good knowledge of PHP and MySQL
- Previous experience of web-designing highly desirable; and/or high capacity to independently learn quickly
- Creativity, capacity to take initiatives and find innovative solutions to technical problems
- Ability to work independently
- Easily contactable via email/Skype
- Able to begin work immediately and work as much as necessary (see website requirements below) to achieve completion of the website by the end of September
Timeframe
All main changes to the website should be completed by the end of September 2011.
Technical support provided until the end of the calendar year 2011 would be very welcome.
