Greetings!
We are delighted to contact you today with details about the next annual International Human Rights Training Program. We look forward to another inspiring three-week program and the opportunity to meet more than 120 human rights activists from around 60 different countries.
The IHRTP is intended for human rights workers and educators, and its goal is to strengthen the capacity of human rights organizations to undertake human rights education aimed at building a global culture of human rights. The curriculum is based on principles of adult experiential learning and mutual teaching and learning. The Application Form, Program information and Memorandum of agreement are available in English and French on our web site at:www.equitas.org.
The Equitas Selection Committee gives priority to the organizations best able to demonstrate their commitment and effectiveness in relation to human rights promotion and education. Consideration is also given to overall gender balance and geographic representation.
Equitas is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1967 dedicated to the promotion of human rights through education in Canada and around the world.
Please note that the deadline to apply for the IHRTP is November 21st, 2010 and that only the 2011 Application Forms will be accepted.

Nous avons le plaisir de vous faire parvenir les informations relatives à notre Programme international de formation aux droits humains.En juin prochain, plus d’une centaine de participant(e)s en provenance d’environ 60 pays assisteront à la session 2010 du PIFDH.
Le PIFDH s’adresse aux militant(e)s et éducateurs/éducatrices en droits humains, et son but est de renforcer la capacité des organisations à mettre en œuvre des activités d’éducation en droits humains afin de contribuer au développement d’une culture mondiale des droits humains. Le PIFDH est fondé sur les principes de l’apprentissage pour adultes basé sur l’expérience et l’apprentissage mutuel. Vous trouverez le formulaire de candidature ainsi que toute l’information relative au programme en français et en anglais sur notre site web au : www.equitas.org.
Le comité de sélection d’Equitas accorde la priorité aux organisations les plus aptes à démontrer leur engagement et leur efficacité dans la promotion et l’éducation en droits humains, en plus de tenir compte d’une représentation équitable entre hommes et femmes, et de la représentation géographique.
Equitas est une organisation non gouvernementale canadienne fondée en 1967 vouée à la promotion des droits humains par l’éducation, au Canada et à travers le monde.
La date limite pour soumettre sa candidature au PIFDH est le 21 novembre 2010, et seuls les formulaires 2011 seront traités.
