International Human Rights Academy:
31 July – 13 August 2010, Utrecht, the Netherlands
Taught by international experts in the field of Human Rights, the various intensive courses that make up the Academy are designed to provide high quality legal education in comparative international human rights and in humanitarian law, with an emphasis on the practical aspects in various fields. In addition, the IHRA offers the participants a forum for exchanging ideas and opinions on various human rights issues. Apart from the lectures, we plan a day filling field trip on a weekday to the International Institutions in The Hague.
The International Human Rights Academy will be organized by:
-Utrecht University (The Netherlands),
-Ghent University (Belgium),
-University of the Western Cape (Republic of South Africa),
-American University Washington College of Law (United States of America),
-Free University of Brussels (Belgium)
-the University of Pretoria (Republic of South Africa)
The working language of the course is English, and candidates applying for the course are expected to be able to converse fully in the English language.
